Consent Choices
Updated 2026-07-02
Krasum is provided by AMOR FATI d.o.o. Contact: support@krasum.com.
Krasum keeps optional uses of your data under separate controls. Every optional consent choice starts off, or at the most private setting. Turning a choice on is your consent for that specific use. Turning it off stops that use going forward. To remove personal data already stored, delete the related record if the app offers that option, or delete your account.
Every meal you log stores a snapshot of the recognition and correction consent settings that applied at that moment. This keeps the permission history clear for each meal record.
Your choices
Corrections pool. Default: off. If you correct a food name or portion, turning this on lets that correction improve shared food data used by Krasum. Off means the correction affects only your own diary.
Image training. Default: off. Turning this on lets Krasum keep meal photos for up to 2 years and use them to improve recognition. Left off, photos follow the standard 90 day operational retention and are not used for model improvement. If you keep it on, Krasum asks again at about 18 months.
Personalization. Default: off. Turning this on lets Krasum use your own logging history to make future logs faster and more accurate for foods you often log. Off means Krasum does not build a personal food memory from your history.
Location. Default: none. You choose whether Krasum records no location, country, city, or point of interest with logs. At the default, no location is recorded.
Country in recognition. Default: off. If a country was captured through the location setting, this controls whether that country is included in the request sent to the recognition service for regional food accuracy. If location is none, this switch has no country to send.
Health data sync. Default: off. Krasum can connect to Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android after you turn on the in app switch and grant phone permission. Authorized types may include steps, active energy, weight, sleep duration, bed and wake times, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, body fat percentage, lean body mass, and menstrual flow or cycle records. Krasum uses these records only for your private display and logging context. If you grant write permission, Krasum can save weight entries you create in Krasum back to your phone health store. It does not write steps, active energy, sleep, heart metrics, body composition, menstrual flow, or cycle records back.
Health data for personalizing your targets. Default: off. Turning this on lets Krasum use connected body composition and recent step data to refine calorie and macro targets. This switch does nothing unless health data sync is also on. Menstrual flow and cycle records are never used to change food, activity, weight, calorie, or macro targets.
Lab results. Default: off. Turning this on lets Krasum store laboratory result records you add and confirm. You can add results by scanning or uploading a report, or by typing values yourself. During a scan, the source document is sent to the extraction processor and no values are saved until you confirm them. When you save confirmed values from a scan, Krasum removes the source photo or PDF by default unless you choose to keep the original. Stored source documents stay while your account is active and are deleted when you delete your account. Krasum stores values exactly as printed, including units, printed reference ranges, and printed flags.
Health and lab consent
Health data sync, health data for personalizing your targets, and lab results involve special category personal data under GDPR Article 9. Krasum processes that data only with explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal stops future processing for that purpose and does not affect processing that happened while consent was on.
To remove stored health data, lab results, or source documents, delete the related record if the app offers that option, or delete your account. See Account and Data Deletion.
